Tumbling Down |
|
|
Been lost in this void for some time now Trying to grasp anything I can Ceaselessly floating, tumbling down Emptiness all around me Blackness is all I see But then a shimmer, A glance of hope creeps over the horizon (losing all hope is freedom) Emptiness is inside of me Blackness is all I see But then a shimmer, A glance of hope creeps over the horizon Been lost in this void for some time now Trying to grasp anything I can Ceaselessly floating, tumbling down Rounding the edge A place to get some footing I amass the pieces And start to climb Towards the light The light that has awoken me As I reach for the top Through the brilliance of the light I see a figure appear before me Been lost in this void for some time now Trying to grasp anything I can Reaching for the light that has awoken me The light begins to fade And there you stood before me As my hopes of rescue consume me You were just there to kick me down Back into this void Lost again now You were never there for me Just there to shove me Back down |
